Lake Superior Marine Museum Association is offering the chance for two lucky couples to win a cruise on the 1000-foot Edwin H. Gott the Summer of 2007.
Two 1st prize trips will be awarded on November 4, 2006 at 7 PM at the Duluth Entertainment & Convention Center (DECC) in Canal Park, Duluth, MN at “Gales of November.” The winners will be joined by the winner of the "Spring Break Up" LSMMA Membership drawing that will take place in March, 2007.
The trip has been generously donated by Great Lakes Fleet / Key Lakes.
The winners will enjoy outstanding accommodations in the Owner’s Quarters (a stateroom for each couple) and share a lounge high above the deck overlooking the lake. The chef and galley crew are well known for their fabulous entrees and menus. Guests will enjoy a complete tour of the ship from pilothouse to engine room. Take pictures of passing ships, the Soo locks, Great Lakes ports, cargo loading and passages through the rivers.
Departure will be from either Duluth or Two Harbors the summer of 2007. A round trip usually takes about 5 ˝ days. Keep your schedules flexible. The company will contact the winners and arrange boarding dates around the ship’s working schedule.
This is a major fundraiser for the Corps of Engineers Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center. It is sponsored by the Lake Superior Marine Museum Association, a nonprofit group supporting the Visitor Center.
