Once again we are pleased to offer the Boatnerd Badger Gathering. Don't miss this year's fun cruise.

The 2009 Boatnerd Badger Gathering starts the boat watching season. A round-trip crossing of Lake Michigan from Ludington, Michigan to Manitowoc, Wisconsin on Saturday, May 30, 2009, aboard the Lake Michigan Carferry SS BADGER.  Join us in traveling an the only coal-fired steamer left on the Great Lakes. Lee Murdoch will entertain both ways crossing Lake Michigan. Visit the Wisconsin Maritime Museum in Manitowoc and see the operating restored forward engine from the legendary railroad ferry Chief Wawatam, and the WWII submarine Cobia.  Special Boatnerd round-trip is only $75.00 per person.  Optional Friday night, May 29, Badger Boatel - $70.00. Stay overnight in a Badger stateroom. Staterooms sleep two at the same price. Includes Continental breakfast on Saturday morning. We need a minimum of 20 room reservations for Friday night, in order for this option to be available. Only 42 staterooms are available.  Optional Saturday Wisconsin shoreline cruise - $29.00. Includes complimentary Badger Party Buffet. This is a boat load of Wisconsin fun with a live band.  Optional Wisconsin Maritime Museum tour - $10.00 per person Boatnerd rate. (Pay at the museum.) Tell them you are a "Boatnerd". We are attempting to arrange a bus for transportation to the museum and back to the Badger dock. If you wish to go downtown to shop, join us on the bus. Downtown and the museum are only a 2-block walk. Schedule Events   Friday, May 29. - Optional Meet at the Badger. Stay overnight in a Badger stateroom. Possible tours of the Badger pilothouse and engine room. Meet your fellow boatnerds and exchange stories and pictures. Only 42 staterooms are available. Make your reservation now.  Saturday, May 30 9:00 am (ET) - Depart Ludington aboard the Badger 12:00 pm (CT) - Arrive Manitowoc. Free shuttle bus to Wisconsin Maritime Museum or downtown. OR Re-board the Badger for 2:00 – 4:00 pm (CT) - Optional Wisconsin Shoreline Cruise aboard Badger 4:00 PM (CT) - Shuttle bus leaves museum for Badger dock 5:00 pm (CT) – Depart Manitowoc aboard Badger. 10:00 pm (ET) – Arrive Ludington  Space is limited for the Friday night Badger Boatel. Only 42 staterooms are available. Important Information .Reservations must be received no later than May 9, 2009. Checks for the full amount must accompany each reservation. Checks will not be cashed until May 15. If we do not receive enough reservations to activate the Badger Boatel, we will refund that portion of your reservation.
